Building Our Home in North Dublin
The Islamic Culture Centre of Dublin (ICCD) is establishing a dedicated space for community, culture, education, and family support. Join us in laying the foundation of this vital community hub.
A Coverage Gap
The vast area stretching from Finglas and Santry to Howth lacks a dedicated Islamic centre. This leaves families and children without accessible cultural or religious infrastructure closer to home.
"Bridging the cultural and geographical distance for North Dublin families."
The Three Pillars of ICCD
Establishing a foundation centered around faith, heritage, and family.
Culture & Heritage
Establish a cultural centre promoting Islamic heritage, complete with a public library, research archives, and educational community materials.
Education & Language
Provide structured Arabic language instruction and curriculum-aligned educational support for children, youth, and adults to preserve values.
Family Support
Organise community welfare services, family advisory networks, integration assistance programs, and engaging activities to empower the youth.
Our Roadmap to Success
Developing a sustainable presence through a careful, two-phase approach.
Renting (The Foundation)
Secure a central location with optimal transport links and dedicated parking. This allows us to establish presence immediately and assess the community's precise logistical and space needs before committing to a major capital acquisition.
Buying (The Legacy)
Fundraise for a permanent property acquisition, building long-term community equity. Expanding our suite of services and guaranteeing an enduring, dedicated spiritual and cultural home for future generations in Dublin.
Year 1 Goal: €50,000
Secure rental lease for an accessible facility
Equip classrooms for language instruction
Furnish prayer and community meeting spaces
Governance: Trust & Transparency
Registered Non-Profit: Set up as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) where all income is applied solely to the main objectives of the centre.
Statutory Compliance: Fully compliant with the Irish Charities Act 2009.
Unpaid Board: Managed by an unpaid Board of Directors, ensuring that 100% of community contributions directly support operations.
Sharia-Compliant Financial Ethics
Strict Adherence: ICCD financial transactions and banking operations strictly adhere to Sharia principles.
Zero Riba (Interest): Zero interest or profit on internal loans is ever paid to Directors or members.
Qard Hasan: Special community aid and loans are distributed on a Qard Hasan (interest-free) basis, preserving pure charitable ethics.
